Introduction

As soon as you arrive in Buenos Aires you will be amazed by its beauty, size, attraction and dynamic life, among other things.
Most foreign tourists coming to our city for the first time admit their surprise to find such an European city, where most of its neighborhoods, buildings, customs and people could be seen in any city of the first world.
It is also true that in many areas and neighborhoods of our great city, neighbors have a purchasing power similar in average to that of many American or European citizens.

Nevertheless, as in any great city, there are other neighborhoods with lots of people, who you would probably not meet in your visit, whose basic needs are not met.
These is the people we pretend to help with Help Buenos Aires.

Caritas Canteen –San Francisco Javier Church

Caritas Parish Canteen is located in Nicaragua 4835 street, in our neighborhood of Palermo Viejo.
There, and from Monday to Friday, lunch and dinner are provided to over 200 people between the two shifts.
On Tuesdays, clothes and food are distributed to the people of the neighborhood. One hundred and twenty-eight families are benefited from this service.
On Fridays food is distributed to over 400 families during all day, and food is also delivered to take home. This service is open to anybody who needs it.
The person responsible for this great deed is the Catholic priest, Father Martín Bracht.
He, together with a team of volunteers who cooperate with their efforts for free, carry out such a noble and necessary enterprise.

If, apart from enjoying a pleasant and unforgettable vacation in our city, you wish to be part of this great action, cooperating with it, you can do so getting in contact with:

Father Martín Bracht : Martín_bracht@hotmail.com
Parroquia San Francisco Javier
Borges 1855
C1414DGE, Capital Federal
Argentina
Tel.: 00 54 11 4831-6706 // 4831-8457

Important note:

Visiting Buenos Aires gives this space to promote the action carried out by Father Bracht’s community canteen.
We personally know Father Martín Bracht, his collaborators (in whom we fully trust and who deserve all our respect and admiration) and, of course, his acts of charity.
Therefore, we would like to contribute our grain of sand, acting as a link between you and Father Bracht’s action, through our web site.
All donations made by you, whether it is food, clothes or money, will be carried out directly between you and Father Bracht.

The community canteen does not receive guided visits, but if you wish to visit it personally, you should first get in contact with Father Bracht.
We are sure that you will enjoy your stay in Buenos Aires twice as much if, besides visiting our warm city, you help this people who are in need of so many things.
